Otantik Türk Kahvesi is a very cute, little place that is located in Kuledibi. It was opened in 2004. Most of the customers are tourists. The music that plays inside are old tangos and all are the preferences of the owner, Yıldırım. For us, these songs created a very warm atmosphere when we were drinking our coffees. Mr. Yıldırım designed the whole interiors and manages the place by himself. Being a very small place, with the warm attitude of the owner, Otantik Türk Kahvesi becomes an exotic place to visit. With the choices of coffee and tea, cake and Turkish delight are also served as treat. If preferred, with large varieties of it, nargile can be served too.

Konak Cafe

Konak Cafe, almost watching the whole Bosphorus, dates back a long time. Although the prices are a little more than regular, it is the meeting place of the people who thinks that the view worths it. The fireplace in the section which is closed on winter has been a guest for our warm conversations. Again, from the closed section, Bosphorus can be seen. Konak Pastanesi that stands in the entrance of the cafe is the first preferance of the customers. That’s why we can say that the most important food of this place is their desserts.

LA FONTANA

Even though it stands on a back street which is not easy to find, La Fontana, that has left a great impression on us, is mostly known for its’ chocolates.  Firstly, the restaurant was opened as a chocolate and a sweetie shop. But after the demands that came from their customers, they opened a restaurant right next to it. The most sold food of the restaurant are their pastas and pizzas. The reason for that is their usage of a wheat called “drum” in their doughs. Maybe the reason behind the desire for their food comes from their preference of an open kitchen. Their most famous dessert is called “Oh La La Beatrice”. Their most famous drink is their hot chocolate, that is made out of pure chocolate that comes from Belgium and Switzerland. The interior design of the restaurant made us feel like we were home. The prices were also very reasonable, not just for adults but also for students. The background music also added some pleasantness to the atmosphere.
